Do you take pills?
The exact answer to that is yes I do. Vitamins of course! One thing that I have noticed through the years is that I’ve noticed that individuals who have a high intake of protein diet generally, have a thicker volume of hair and yes I’m a firm believer of this. I probably intake about 100-125g of protein a day and yes a secret of mine for more beautiful hair is also is that I take prenatal pills! Why prenatal pill well it makes sense that the vitamins a pregnant mother lacks are met by taking these vitamins which contain Omega 3 fatty oils along with biotin an folic. Which is essential for hair growth.
In my early 20’s when I didn’t have much knowledge of vitamins and how they interact with your body my hair had less volume and it was brittle but I didn’t put much thought into I thought it was normal. Protein, as I said before, has a major role in a hair growth because a single strand of hair is made up of protein fiber which means that it requires an adequate dose of protein to grow. If you do not consume enough protein, your body will ration the quantity available by cutting off the supply to the hair follicles. If you don’t eat enough protein, your hair is likely to become dry and brittle.
Every cell requires protein for life, they are needed for tissue repair and for the construction of new tissue. In my early 22-25, I noticed I was shedding a lot of Hair but I just thought this was normal because if you notice in our society clip in extensions, and weaves have become a thing of the norm not taking into account that maybe there’s a good reason to the lack of hair volume. Instead of solving a problem we mask it. I’m not going to lie I was guilty of the clip in extensions I could also probably give you some good reviews of hair extensions that are best in quality and durability. I used them mainly for volume and to look more glam in my pictures. Yes, I spent 100’s of dollars on them because I always wanted to look my absolute best.
Well, I noticed that in my younger years (13-16) I had a long full gorgeous mane and I started to think maybe it had to do something with my nutrition. I looked it up and to my eye awakening, I found that protein had a lot to do with it. So I took it to my own hands to improve my hair by making sure I intake an appropriate amount of protein which for me is 120 grams a day of protein a day Because of the rigorous training that I do my consumption is high and also I take prenatal pills everyday religious right before bed preferably because if for some reason I get an upset stomach at least I will be asleep for it lol. Well I hope this blog helps and if you have questions please let me know and I’d love to answer all your questions.
